To install this version, you will need the full Ver 5.00 install.

OOPic Multi-Language Compiler Ver 4.00 - 10/11/2001

Windows NT, 2000 and XP

In order to use the OOPic multi-language compiler with Windows NT or 2000, an additional file needs to be installed. To install it, follow these steps:
  1. Download the NT Port driver (Port95nt.exe)
  2. Run Port95nt.exe which will install a Windows NT printer port driver. Reboot
  3. Download the full install (OOPicFV501.exe). (You can skip this step if you have already done so before)
  4. Install the full version. Reboot
  5. If the IDE complains about a missing file, download one of the three patches listed below, the one that matches the complaint, and install that.

  1. port95nt.exe
  2. OOPicFV501.exe - (Full install) - 5,227k.
  3. setup_comdlg32_ocx.exe
  4. setup_MScomctl_ocx.exe
  5. setup_MScomm32_ocx.exe

If the IDE Still complains, then the patches didn't work either, now you have to do this manually. Look in your windows\system32 folder. If the files are there then register them by using the "RUN" option under the "Start" flag button by doing the following:

regsvr32.exe "comdlg32.ocx" for example. Do this for any complaining OCX file.

If the OCX file isn't in the system32 directory then you'll have to go get it and put it there. You can find them by Googling for them.

In general, Google is a good source to find the offending OCX file. Then use the regedt32 as shown above to register the new files
